WHO IS HE?
Jambon Gris LaChasse is the tongue-in-cheek pseudonym of Graham Hunt. He thought it had a better ring to it. More flair. He was born in England and lived many years in Canada, France and finally Italy where he has lived and thrived for the last 40 years. He has loved making music since he was a recorder tooting 6 year old and has played various instruments including the saxophone, guitar and bagpipes.
He has been composing music since he was 68 years old and had done little else since!
Jambon has also been drawing and painting since he was a kid and gets a giggle out of doing that too.
The films he makes to present his music has given him an ideal occasion to combine these two passions.
Jambon has never been a professional musician but wasted his life working in libraries (i.e. The British Museum in London), travelling the world (as an Export Manager for an Italian manufacturer of flat roof waterproofing (!) and managing director of a trade show and conference company) and - his last job - importing into Italy recycled plastic from Egypt! Nobody ever guessed what he did for a living!
Needless to say he always wondered why he did what he did.
